The route from Abländschen climbs relatively evenly up to the Mittelberg Pass on the pass road. From there it becomes partly a little steeper before reaching the Alp Hintere Schneit at the end of the asphalt road and switching onto a singletrail. This offers plenty of riding fun and beautiful panoramic views of the Grischbachtal and the Pays-d'Enhaut up to the Chaltläger. Afterwards, the direction changes and you continue riding mainly slightly ascending singletrails to the Bire. From there you reach the Charweg, which resembles a double-track singletrail that snakes as a panoramic path along the Hundsrügg and leads via Schlündi to the Jaun Pass. From the Jaun Pass, the route continues on singletrails and natural roads down again to Abländschen.

The route is not signposted. Either print out the route sheet or load the route onto a GPS device.
The route can be shortened at the Bire and ridden via the Schwylaub Trail to Abländschen.

The holiday region of Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Lake Thun region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland ensure a time-saving and comfortable arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postal bus lines.
