The route starts at Schulhaus Gruben uphill and then immediately the first turn left onto the «Berschelstrasse». After about 800 meters, the road leads sharply right onto gravel. There is a barrier there which can be opened easily. The path gets steeper and ends at the highest point on Alp «Berschel» with breathtaking views.

From there, the descent begins towards «Haldis Bärgli», still on the gravel road. As soon as the path rises slightly again and passes the hut, the route climbs right along the trail through the forest and then turns left onto the single trail. At the next junction, turn left again onto the "Horevorschessweg" and "Wittereweg" down to Schönried. Some technical skills are required in places, but the route is mostly easy to ride. The route continues to the valley station «Horneggli» in Schönried, then on the «Grubenstrasse» and over the «Cheserystrasse» left back to Schulhaus Gruben.
