The winter hike starts at Rotegrabe shortly after the village of Turbach, the idyllic side valley of Gstaad. The tranquil village is reachable from Gstaad in less than a quarter of an hour.

Nestled between Wistätthorn, Tube and Giferspitz, the sunny plain invites you to a hike in a wonderful winter landscape. The winter hiking route runs from Rotegrabe to Wintermatte. Back to the starting point you can hike on the same path or along the road.

  • Approach

    The holiday region of Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Geneva lake area and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines.
