In the morning with the first cable car at 9:00 a.m. you ride about 20 minutes to the mountain station "Scex Rouge" where the challenging day tour begins. The first descent takes place directly from the mountain station. For the first one and a half kilometers, follow the ski slope towards Oldensattel. You leave this just before Oldensattel and enjoy the wonderful meters to the Sanetsch Pass. At the pass, skins are attached to the skis. You ascend along the distinctive ridge over the Arête de l’Arpille. The ridge is often windblown and skis have to be carried for a few meters. Then continue through magnificent landscapes to the Arpelistock at 3036 meters. The last meters are covered on foot with the skis on the backpack. The magnificent descent to the secluded Gelten Hut leads through ideally inclined northern slopes either via the Furge or the Rottal. From the Gelten Hut you continue along the summer path to Lake Lauenen and finally to the village of Lauenen.
