Summer season at La Videmanette

La Videmanette opened for the summer season on 28 June. From the top station above Rougemont, you have a wide view of the Bernese and Vaud Alps. The terrace at the mountain lodge is a peaceful spot to take in the scenery.

A special highlight of the season is the sunrise ride on 13 July. The exceptionally early start of the gondola promises a memorable beginning to your day, with breathtaking views and a generous brunch.

Several hiking trails and via ferratas ranging from K1 to K5 invite you to explore the area. A short and rewarding hike leads to the summit of Rocher Plat at 2,257 metres. Longer routes take you down to the valley via the Creux du Pralet or the Pierreuse nature reserve.

The trails pass through varied landscapes, including forests, limestone cliffs and alpine meadows. With a bit of luck, you might spot ibex or marmots. One of the routes also leads through the soundwood forest of Les Arses, known for its use in crafting musical instruments.

The region is ideal for a quiet escape into nature.
